11.1 · Separable verbs in main clauses
Build a sentence. Conjugate the verb and place the prefix at the end.
Example: Build the sentence: früh / ich / aufstehen. → Ich stehe früh auf.
- Build the sentence: um sieben Uhr / ich / aufstehen.
- Build the sentence: ihre Mutter / sie / anrufen.
- Build the sentence: heute / wir / mitkommen.
- Build the sentence: um neun Uhr / der Unterricht / anfangen.
- Build the sentence: ein Buch / ich / mitbringen.

11.2 · Separable verbs with modal verbs
Translate into German. Put the unsplit infinitive at the end.
- Translate: “I have to get up early.”
- Translate: “She wants to go out today.”
- Translate: “We can come along.”
- Translate: “You would like to call your mother.”
- Translate: “You should bring the book along.”
